Regardless of Race, Language or Religion with Let's Go Tour Singapore
17 Mar 2021

Did you know that Singapore has 10 official religion? I didn't, until I attended this tour with Let's Go Tour SingaporeThank you so much for the invitation!

The 10 official religions are, Buddhism, Christianity, Islam, Hinduism, Taoism, Judaism, Sikhism, Jainism, Zoroastrianism, and Bahá’í Faith. How many did you know? What do you know about them?

To be honest, I only knew the major religions and even so, I realised I knew so little. Like Hinduism is actually monotheistic, believing only in one God! I always thought otherwise!

Regardless of Race, Language or Religion, brings you to the places of worship of the 5 major religions of Singapore, and briefly touched on the rest of them. Interestingly, all the sites we visit are situated within Chinatown, and that's really one of the beauty of Singapore. This religious harmony cannot be taken for granted. Unfortunately we were unable to enter any of the sites due to the covid-19 situation, but we were still able to observe the different features from the outside.

While Let's Go Tour Singapore mentioned to me that aspects of the content of might be too deep for my 5.5 years old daughter, she had a great time and was especially fascinated by the stories of the Hindu deities. The guide really made the difference.

Like Simon, whom we followed for a couple of tours, Yap, was great too! In fact, he was the one that developed this tour! Kuddos to that!

Though there was another 3 adults in our group, the needs of the kids were not forgotten. My daughter multiple 'whys' were not neglected and that I really appreciate. Highly recommend both Yap and Simon!

Singapore is a melting pot of culture and we live among many people of different races and religions, but it is also easy and perhaps more comfortable for us to adopt an inward looking approach. This tour has truly broaden my perspective and ignited a spark to learn even more. The more you know, the more you don't know.
