Information On Books
At Natventure Books, we believe that every child will learn to read in their own timing. Some may start reading as early as 4 years old, while some may only start reading at 7 years old. Hence, we do not wish to limit children to their age.
We also believe that children can enjoy all kinds of books, whether is it below their reading level, at their reading level, or even above their reading level. They all serve a different purpose in the child's reading journey.
Baby & Toddlers - Books that are hardy and can withstand the handling of little children. May also include novelty books like pop-up books, books with flaps and textures that engages the senses of the little children.
Preschoolers - Books with topics that preschoolers would relate too, like books on emotions, the human body, our natural world, etc. These books are generally filled with captivating illustrations and the words are well paced throughout the book to keep the preschoolers engaged.
Early Readers - Short stories or picture books written simply and often with some repetition to build confidence in new readers.
Confident Readers - Short chapter books, often with illustrations and at times colours to break down the text in the book. Also include non-fiction and reference books with more text, which might have been intimidating to preschoolers or early readers.
Advanced Readers - Longer chapter books with lesser or no illustrations to break down the text in the book. Also include non-fiction and reference books with more abstract concepts and themes.
Adult Readers - The books curated for our adult readers mainly focus on the theme of parenting, family, nature and the environment.
Book Rental
There is no doubt that the National Library Board has done a great job in providing us with a wide variety of books to read and borrow. But as busy working parents, it can sometimes be difficult to bring the children to the library on a regular basis. And that's where we hope to fill in the gap.
At Natventure Books, you can select the books you wish to rent from our website (up to a maximum of 5 books) and we will have it delivered to your doorstep. Arrangements will also be made to pick up the books right from your doorstep at the end of the loan period (28 days).
It saves you the time from travelling to and fro the library. It also saves you the effort, and maybe even the taxi fare, to lug the heavy books home.
Only Super Members are eligible to utilise our book rental service, and the lifetime membership fee is $35.
The cost of book rental is $2/book, up to 5 books, and for a period of 28 days.
The delivery cost for our book rental service is based on the weight of the books, and it includes the cost of delivery and pick up of the books:

1. Ensure that you have been registered as a Super Member.
2. Select the books that you would like to rent (up to 5 books) from the Rental Collection.
3. Make payment and the books will be delivered to you within 5 business days. The loan peiod is 28 days, and you can check for the return date from 'My Rental History' from your account.
4. Courier will be arranged to pick up the books on the return date. If the return date falls on Saturday or Sunday, arrangements will be made to pick up the books on the coming Monday instead. If necessary, you may contact us to arrange for pick up on an alternative date, not beyond the stipulated return date.
5. To prepare the books for the courier to pick up, place all the books into the box that was used to send them to you. Seal the box and stick the shipping label that comes with the books on the top of the box.
6. The 'Status' in the rental history will be updated once the books have been received by us, and you may proceed to rent more books.
We understand that with children, they may not always be the most careful with the things that they handle.
A fold, dent, or small tear on the book that can be easily fixed is normal, and will not be penalised. However, you will be required to pay the retail price of the book should there be intentional vandalism on the book that is beyond any form of repair.
You will also be required to pay the retail price of the book should the book be misplaced.
The stipulated loan period for our book rental service is 28 days. Should you return the books late, there will be an additional fee of $0.50 per day.
Delivery
Book purchases are generally sent via courier, for a flat fee of $4.00.
Free courier is available for book purchases above $80.
The delivery cost for our book rental service is based on the weight of the books, and it includes the cost of delivery and pick up of the books:

You can expect to receive your orders within 5 business days.
Do note that our courier partner only does pick up from Monday to Friday, and the delivery will also be from Monday to Friday.
You should have received an email/SMS on the delivery details. You may also track your delivery via the link provided in the email/SMS.
Do contact us with the following details for us to trace and expediate your order:

If your order is indeed missing, a replacement copy will be sent to you at no additional cost.
Should the product be out-of-stock, you have the option to request for a refund or wait for new stock to arrive.
Refund
Please noted that once your order is placed, it is non-refundable. Do ensure that you have purchased the correct items and key the promo code if any.
We only offer exchange under the following circumstances:
- Wrong product has been sent
- Product has been damaged or is not in the desired condition upon delivery.
In the above circumstances, do contact us within 3 days from the date of receiving the order with the following information:
- Order number
- Description of the issue with supporting images
Once it has been verified that the above conditions have been met, a replacement copy will be sent to you at no additional cost.
Should the product be out-of-stock, you have the option to request for a refund or wait for new stock to arrive.
