The University offers the folowing scholarships for Chinese students of high academic standing commencing a postgraduate Taught Masters programme at the University of Sheffield in September 2011.

China Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2011 (￡6,500)

There are two China Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2011, available for Chinese students starting their postgraduate taught masters degree studies in September 2011.

Each Scholarship is worth ￡6,500 of your postgraduate taught masters degree tuition fee per year, for one year of study. The scholarships will take the form of a fee reduction.

To be eligible for the China Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2011, applicants must be a Chinese national or permanently domiciled in China, apply for a study place by Friday 24 June 2011 and hold an offer of a study place for entry in September 2011. The deadline for applications is Friday 1 July 2011, the results will be announced by Monday 1 August 2011.

The China Merit Postgraduate Scholarships 2011 are awarded on the basis of academic merit.

If you wish to be considered for this scholarship you need to apply. Eligible students will automatically be sent details of how to apply from January 2011 onwards.

Applicants cannot apply for the scholarship before being offered a study place at Sheffield.
